National Debt Holdings (NDH), a receivables management firm headquartered in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, is proud to donate to the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) this holiday season. Spearheaded by National Debt Holdings CEO Jeremy Poehler, this donation to the country’s premier Down Syndrome advocacy group is made in memory of Jeremy’s brother Shaun Poehler who had Down Syndrome.
“This cause is near and dear to my heart and I’m proud to be able to both personally and professionally support the amazing work the National Down Syndrome Society does to better the lives of those living with Down Syndrome,” says Jeremy. “National Debt Holdings works tirelessly to support our customers, community, and country. Donating to the NDSS is representative not only of my connection to the cause but also of our company’s commitment to doing our part to make our community a better place.”
Impacting Lives
The NDSS began in 1979 as Barton and Betsy Goodwin began researching ways to help their child, Carson, who had Down Syndrome. Over time, the NDSS expanded its vision and now works as the leading human rights organization for all individuals with Down Syndrome. NDSS impacts the community in three key ways—resources and support, policy and advocacy, and community engagement. NDH’s donation went directly into the NDSS general funds project which works to impact all three key areas.
NDSS provides key resources to families and individuals impacted by Down Syndrome and even provides a helpline to directly speak with a member of NDSS to connect to families, individuals, and stakeholders in the fight for equal rights, opportunities, and livelihoods for those with Down Syndrome.

A Culture Of Giving
National Debt Holdings has a long history of advocacy and support and has made it part of the company’s vision to embrace social responsibility and the commitment to helping its community. Earlier in 2021, NDH donated to support the Surfside Fund for those impacted by the Surfside, FL condo collapse tragedy. NDH has also donated towards the Ocean Conservancy, a science-based advocacy, research, and public education group dedicated to promoting healthy and diverse ocean ecosystems.
Donating towards a worthwhile and impactful cause like the National Down Syndrome Society represents both Jeremy’s and National Debt Holding’s personal and professional commitment to bettering the community they serve. As an honor to both Jeremy’s brother and all those across the globe impacted by Down Syndrome, NDH is proud to donate this holiday season.
